Iran Greco-Roman squad world 2nd

Iran's national Greco-Roman squad has won 39 points to stand in the second place of the 2009 FILA World Championships.

Hamid Sourian in 55-kg-category grabbed a gold medal, while Farshad Ali Zadeh in 74kg, Habibollah Akhlaqi in 84kg, and Amir Ali Akbari in 96kg won bronze medals.

Turkey gained 44 points to oust the competition and secure the 2009 FILA World Championships first place in Herning, Denmark.

Turkey managed to take two gold medals and one bronze medal and was ranked overall first. Azerbaijan stood third with a gold and two bronze medals.
