Coaching Certificate (B) mandatory as of 2010

The AFC Technical Committee met today under the chairmanship of Kwok Ka Ming of Hong Kong and decided to allow only those coaches who possess an AFC ‘B’ certificate to coach in AFC competitions from 2010 onwards.

No other certificate will be accepted in lieu of the AFC ‘B’ certificate and the proposal takes effect three years hence in order to allow the coaches to qualify and secure a ‘B’ certificate.

The AFC Technical Committee decided to implement more stringent quality control measures for the technical programs and courses conducted by member associations and bring them in line with the AFC’s Coach Education Policy.
