Israelis slay another Gazan child
Israeli tank fire has killed a 6-year-old Palestinian girl in the Gaza Strip, wounding two others, Palestinian medical workers say.
Medics said the girl's head had been decapitated by a tank shell. Another two people are being treated for injuries sustained in the shelling, Moaiya Hassanain, a Palestinian Health Ministry official, said.
They said the girl's remains had been recovered from a house in the village of Qarara, east of Khan Younis, that had been struck by the tank fire. She was inside at the time of the shelling.
Hadel Alfnere died and two members of her family were wounded by the fired shell.
An Israeli military spokesman had no immediate comment.
Several Palestinian children, including infants and toddlers, have been killed by the Israeli raids since Israeli-Palestinian peace talks were relaunched in the US-hosted Annapolis conference in November last year.
