German picture book exhibit displays Iran children’s books
A number of Iranian children’s books have been put on display in a German international picture book exhibition dubbed Colorful Children’s World.
A collection of 84 Iranian children’s books has been presented at the 2013 edition of the annual exhibition held in Klingspor Museum in Offenbach, Germany.
The books were selected by Iran’s Shabaviz Publishing Company as one of the country’s leading publishers of children’s books.
The Little Whale written and illustrated by Lisa Jamileh, The Stories of the Cave written by Marjan Keshavarzi Azad and illustrated by Valeria Valenza, and My Father Is Delicious with Sausage written by Navid Seyyed Ali Akbar and illustrated by Ali Mafakheri are some of the works that represent Iran at the event.
Established in 1956, the exhibition is organized by Klingspor Museum to provide an opportunity for publishers to present their books at an international event.
This year’s exhibition which is dedicated to modern international books on art, typography and calligraphy is slated to run until February 28, 2013.
