IRI ready to give crushing response to enemies
Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Saturday that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to give a crushing response to the enemies.
Speaking to reporters in a special ceremony commemorating the burial of some martyrs in the Majlis compound, he said the Iranian people's mind cannot be diverted by such mottos or propaganda, adding "We have our own ideology in dealing with various affairs," he said.
On recent propaganda campaign launched by the West and the Zionist regime against Iran, he said "This is not for the first time that we are experiencing such situation. It seems the western countries by resorting to 'carrot and stick' policy try to exert more pressure on us," he said.
"Iranian officials welcome continued negotiations but they should exercise vigilance to this end," he said. "We believe that talks should be held in a sound atmosphere," he said.
He expressed the hope that the burial of the seven martyrs in the Majlis compound would serve to remind the Majlis representatives of their grave responsibilities and duties.
