33,000 Children’s Books at 21st Fair
A total of 33,000 titles of books will be presented at the children and young adults section of the upcoming 21st Tehran International Book Fair slated for May 1-11.
Announcing this, Borzou Sarizadi, executive director of Children’s Book Publishers’ Association told ISNA that there has been a 50 percent increase in the number of private children’s book publishers in this year’s event.
Meanwhile, Ali Shojaei Saein, who is in charge of the fair’s information dissemination affairs, said that some 200 sessions will be held at the event’s Men of Letters section. These include 40 sessions on librarianship as well as a number of other sessions to discuss issues relating to children’s books.
He further announced the participation of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states at the event and said, “A session of the Men of Letters is dedicated to commemoration of prominent Indian poet and philosopher Allama Muhammad Iqbal Lahori.“
The 21st Tehran International Book Fair will be held at the city’s Grand Prayer Grounds (Mosalla).
