Men, more forgetful than women?
Mayo Clinic researchers suggest that compared to women, men are more prone to cognitive impairment and mental decline in old ages.
According to a study presented at a recent American Academy of Neurology meeting, elderly men in their 70s are at least one and a half times more likely to have memory problems.
The study also shows that elderly men are more likely to become dotty and forgetful.
Scientists claim individuals suffering from mild cognitive impairments are at a three to four-fold risk of developing Alzheimer's disease.
Previous studies had reported that women live longer and develop dementia at a faster rate compared to men.
