Artists make chocolate achaemenid man
Concurrent with World Handicrafts Day, for the first time the statue of an Achaemenid soldier, four meters in height, will be made by 25 Iranian sculptor in University of Tehran.
According to experts, some 500 kilograms chocolate will be used for making this statue. This statue will be unveiled on 14th of July at 15 pm in University of Tehran.
In addition, on occasion of World Handicrafts Day an 8-day exhibition is opened today and will run to 17th of June with participation of Iranian artists from Tehran, Isfahan, West Azarbaijan, East Azarbaijan, Gilan, Mazandaran, Golestan, Shahr-e Kord, Khuzestan, Kermanshah, Kerman, and Lorestan provinces during which various handicrafts works including pottery, mosaic works, marquetry, tiling, glass works, traditional dresses, leather works, wooden objects, calligraphy, traditional handicrafts, rug, Batic printing, needle works, artistic blacksmith works, carpet pictures, ornamental stones, and flower decorations.
This exhibition is opened every day from 9 am to 6 pm for public visit in painting gallery of University of Tehran.
