IRI ready to help Karbala blast victims
Iran"s Red Crescent Society (IRCS) in a message expressed sympathy with the victims of Karbala blast on Saturday and declared its readiness to treat injured people and dispatch medical doctors and equipment to Iraq.
IRCS"s public relations department said preparatory measures have been taken to help the victims. It said the preparation has been declared to the International Federation of Red Cross, Red Crescent Societies and also International Committee of Red Cross.
In a car bomb blast in the Iraqi city of Karbala, 110 kilometers south of Baghdad, on Saturday in a place close to the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS), 40 people were killed and 60 persons injured.
