How to recognise the real followers of Ahl-ul- Bayt (A.S)?
It is narrated from Imam Sadiq (A.S) who said: Test our Shias with two characteristics. If these two characteristics do not exist in them, avoid them seriously. Imam Sadiq (A.S) was asked about these two characteristics, and he replied: Performing Salaat in its appropriate time and the other is to have compassion and sympathy for brothers in religion, even if it is a little bit [1].
In another narration, Imam Sadiq (A.S) said: Our Shia is the one who advances further whatever he/she considers good (according to Islam), and avoids whatever is considered bad (according to Islam). The real Shia makes good things to appear and for the sake of attaining the satisfaction of Allah (SWT) is involved in big tasks. Therefore, he/she is from us (Ahl-ul- Bayt (A.S)), and is in our way and is with us wherever we are [2].
In another narration, Imam Sadiq (A.S) explained: Our Shias are pious and hard-working, they are faithful and trustworthy, and they are devoted and pray to God, they perform 51 Ruk’ats of Salaat in 24 hours, they pray during nights, and fast during days, and pay Zakat of their wealth, and perform Hajj, and avoid any Haram [3].
