Saipa Increase Lead at the Top

Esteghlal had to beat Zob-Ahan in Esfahan to keep the gap down to four points, but the two teams failed to score any goals, and the game ended 0-0. Mojtaba Jabbari came on in the second half for Esteghlal, after a long absence from football due to injury.

Sepahan move above Perspolis to third in the table after beating Malavan 2-0. Both Sepahan’s goals came in the first half.

Foulad remain at the bottom of the table, after a 1-0 defeat at home to Peykan.
