The importance of wisdom

It is narrated from the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) who said: Allah (SWT) has not distributed amongst human beings better than wisdom, the sleeping of a wise person is better than awakening of the ignorant, the breaking fast of a wise person is better than fasting of the ignorant. Allah (SWT) has not appointed a prophet before accomplishing his wisdom and before making his wisdom higher than the total of his Ummah (nation). Whatever a prophet hides inside him is better than the efforts of all the doers.
The wise person performs his/her duties to God out of wisdom and all the servants of God will not reach the level of a wise person in performing their duties. Indeed, wise persons have brains and God said: Only those who possess wisdom and thought will take heed and counsel [1]. That is why Imam Sadiq (A.S) considered the way of accomplishment of the wisdom through understanding and jurisprudence (Fiqh) and said: No wealth is better than wisdom and no poverty is worse than ignorance, in all affairs, no support is better than consultation and the exchange of thought and wisdom [2].
