hampoeil limestone cave

hampoeil cave, or pigeon cave named as such due to an expansive square near the cave’s entrance whose roof serves as a giant nest for pigeons, is located 8km southeast of maragheh, east azerbaijan province, northwestern iran. this limestone cave contains beautiful cave formations and is so deep that no one has ever been able to reach its end.
