WAMY appeals for help for Sierra Leone’s refugees
Jeddah,
Dr. Abdul Wahhab Noorwali, assistant secretary-general of WAMY (Makkah Regional Branch) has appealed to Muslims everywhere, particularly the philanthropists and humanitarian organizations to contribute donations for helping the refugees in the west African country of Sierra Leone, who have been affected by the war in the country.
He said that he had received reports confirming that as many as 100,000 refugees have been forced to leave their towns and villages, forsaking their farms, livestock, properties and all means of livelihood and they are in dire need of urgent aid such as food, clothes and medicines. Dr. Noorwali urged all associations, organizations and individuals to come to the aid of these poor people who are facing an imminent danger of starvation and diseases.

The Islamic Center for Trade Development here will organize an exhibition of products of Islamic countries in the Guinean capital of Conakry. The show is scheduled to take place between December 9 and 14 next. The last such exhibition was held last December in the Emirate of Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates, and 650 companies, representing 34 countries took part.
