The Importance of Zakat
رُوِيَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللٌّهِ الصَّادِقِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: مَا فَرَضَ اللٌّهُ عَلى هٌذِهِ الأُمَّةِ شَيْئاً أَشَدُّ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ الزَّكَاةِ، وَفِيْهَا تَهْلِكُ امَّتُهُمْ
It has been narrated from Abi {Abdullah (Imam) Sadiq (A.S), that he said: “Allah has not imposed anything more serious than Zakat upon this nation – and due to it, many of them shall perish.”
