Muslim Brotherhood praises Iran’s policies
With Ahmadinejad’s historic visit to Egypt over, now more details of the meetings with Egyptian officials have been revealed.Informed sources have told London-basednewspaper, Al Arabthat Ahmadinejad and Mohammed Badie, the new leader of Muslim Brotherhood, has agreed upon a strategic pact between Iran and Egypt.
These sources also had it that Mohammed Khairat Saad El-Shater and EssamMohamed Hussein el-Erian, two prominent figures of Brotherhood also attended the meeting.
The meeting was held in Iran’s Interest Section in Cairo, and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad congratulated the Brotherhood for their victory in general elections. He also invited Badie for a visit from Tehran and the Supreme Leader.
The sources had also told that Badie praised Iran’s innovation in establishment of the Expediency Discernment Council, which oversees strategic and grand political decision-making, and expressed his intention to establish a council similar to Expediency in Egypt.
Reportedly, Ahmadinejad proposed to Badie a visit to Tehran and Supreme Leader, and also to meet Expediency members and to get familiarity with their experiences.
The leader of Brotherhood reportedly praised Iran’s record of resistance against foreign pressures, and assessed it ‘very successful policy’ during last 30 years. He especially eulogized Iran’s implementation of religious orders in state affairs and believed it as outstanding administrative achievement.
