By Grace
(Richard D. Remler)
In my heart I'm dead to my old nature.
Sin no longer has a hold on me.
I've taken hold of Someone far greater
Then the cravings of this world can ever be.
There is a Love that permeates my being,
And every single breath within my soul.
I've been cleansed, renewed, made perfect, in His Spirit,
With the Grace of God all men should come to know.
He touched My life in His ever present mercy,
And with His Holy Spirit we are renewed.
Whom He poured out so generously upon us,
Blessing us in ways we never knew.
He saved us, and called us with a holy calling,
Not to our works, but to His own purpose and grace.
Which was given to us in Christ Jesus before the world began.
And how I long to praise Him face to face.
For now we know that we are God's children.
And we also know the Son of God has come,
That if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation!
The old life is passed away, and the new life has begun.
