Iran unveils English book on tourism
Iran has unveiled its first encyclopedic English book on tourism, introducing the country's rich culture and ancient civilization from different perspectives.
A Glimpse of Iran is published after four years of research and market study at major international tourism expos, and provides detailed information and pictures on Iran's tourist attractions.
The book is complied in two parts, starting with an introduction to Iran's nature, cultural diversity, history, world heritage, religion, arts, literature, handicrafts, national figures, health tourism, Iranian food, souvenirs and museums.
The second part introduces Iran's 30 provinces, their tourist attractions and potentialities, ISNA reported.
Released by Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHTO), A Glimpse of Iran features pictures by some 21 Iranian photographers including Abbas Jafari, Javad Najaf-Alizadeh and Oshin D. Zakarian.
Every year, scores of tourists visit Iran for its beautiful nature and historical sites such as the Persepolis in Shiraz and the Naqsh-e-Jahan Square in Isfahan.
