Strengthening Muslim Families Conference – June 7/8
HIC will be hosting a Strengthening Muslim Families conference on June 7 & 8, 2024 (Friday/Saturday). The keynote speaker at this event will be the renowned scholar Imam Siraj Wahhaj. Focusing on fiqh, faith, and family values, the conference will span over two days and will cover the following key topics:
- Preservation of the Muslim Family
- Faith & the Identity Crisis of Muslim Youth in America
- Raising A Righteous Generation of Highly Capable Muslim Kids

- June 7th – Jumuah Khutbah with Imam Wahhaj (12.30 PM) & Friday Night Halaqah Session (7 PM)
- June 8th – Saturday Morning Workshops (9.30 AM – 1 PM)
- Registration opens at 9.30 AM SHARP; please be on time!
- Youth Session (12 Years & Above) with Imam Siraj Wahhaj
- Men’s Session with Imam Ragab Abdelmoneim / Imam Tariq Ansaar Aquil
- Women’s Session with Sr. Zakiyyah Shakoor
- A total of 3 sessions will take place with a break in between for refreshments.
- June 8th – Saturday Evening Dinner & Panel Discussion (5.30 PM – 8 PM)
- Boxed dinners will be provided by HIC. If you’d like to contribute towards providing meals, please contact Sr. Hibah Setayesh @ 256 652 7615
- Panel Discussion and Q/A session will be immediately after dinner.
- We will wrap up with Maghreb prayers inshaAllah.
