اللهم صل علی محمد و آل محمد
O Allah! Send blessing on Muhammad and on the children of Muhammad.
بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ الَّذى اَذْهَبَ اللَّيْلَ مُظْلِماً بِقُدْرَتِهِ
(All) praise is for Allah (only) who, through His omnipotence, strips the night of darkness,
وَ جاَّءَ بِالنَّهارُ مُبْصِراً بِرَحْمَتِهِ
and, through His mercy, brings in the visible light of the day,
وَ كَسانى ضِياَّئَهُ وَ اَنَا فى نِعْمَتِهِ
wrapped me in its brightness, and filled me with its benefits.
اَللّهُمَّ فَكَما اَبْقَيْتَنى لَهُ فَاَبْقِنى لاِمْثالِهِ
O my Allah, just as Thou kept me alive (till) this day, let me live through many such days;
وَ صَلِّ عَلَى النَّبِىِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
bless (Thy) Prophet, Muhammad and his children,
وَ لا تَفْجَعْنى فيهِ
and do not bring loss upon me in any part of its duration
وَ فى غَيْرِهِ مِنَ اللَّيالى وَ الاْيّام
, and also in other nights and days,
بِارْتِكابِ الْمَحارِمِ
(by way of not preventing myself from) going in for anything unlawful,
وَ اكْتِسابِ الْمَأثِمِ
and making progress through wrongful means;
وَ ارْزُقْنى خَيْرَهُ وَ خَيْرَ ما فيهِ وَخَيْرَ ما بَعْدَهُ
give me its good, good that is there in it now, and good that it shall have,
وَ اصْرِفْ عَنّى شَرَّهُ وَ شَرَّ ما فيهِ وَ شَرَّما بَعْدَهُ
keep me aloof from its evil, evil that is there in it now, and evil that it shall have.
اَللّهُمَّ اِنّى بِذِمَّةِ الاِْسْلامِ اَتَوَسَّلُ اِلَيْكَ
O my Allah, I, totally committed to Islam, seek nearness to Thee;
وَ بِحُرْمَةِ الْقُرْآنِ اَعْتَمِدُ عَلَيْكَ
fully learning and grasping (the meanings of) the (Holy) Quran,
resolve firmly to rely upon obedience unto Thee;
وَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ الْمُصْطَفى صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ
and through the medium of Muhammad Al Mustafaa (the chosen),
peace and blessings of Allah be on him and his children,
اَسْتَشْفِعُ لَدَيْكَ فَاعْرِفِ
I ask Thee for my rescue, therefore know well, acknowledge, and accept,
اللّهُمَّ ذِمَّتِىَ الَّتى رَجَوْتُ بِها قَضاَّءَ حاجَتى
O my Allah, the commitment and alliance on which I rely to receive satisfaction of my desires,
يا اَرْحَمَ الرّاحِمينَ
O the Most Merciful.
اَللّهُمَّ اقْضِ لى فِى الْخَميسِ
O my Allah, in the hours of this Thursday,
خَمْساً لا يَتَّسِعُ لَها اِلاّ كَرَمُكَ
fulfil my five desires, do not set in motion anything except Thy generous kindness,
وَ لا يُطيقُها اِلاّ نِعَمُكَ
do not make possible and promote interest of any thing except Thy favour;
سَلامَةً اَقْوى بِها عَلى طاعَتِكَ
(give me) sound health and wholesome security which I shall use to obey Thy commands,
وَ عِبادَةً اَسْتَحِقُّ بِها جَزيلَ مَثُوبَتِكَ
(confidence) to do good deeds which put me in a position to deserve more and more rewards from Thee,
وَ سَعَةً فِى الْحالِ مِنَ الرِّزْقِ الْحَلالِ
sufficient means of livelihood through fair and lawful employment,
وَ اَنْ تُؤْمِنَنى فى مَواقِفِ الْخَوْفِ بِاَمْنِكَ
be my escort in the hour of fright to afford security,
وَ تَجْعَلَنى مِنْ طَوارِقِ الْهُمُومِ وَالْغُمُومِ فى حِصْنِكَ
and in the hours of difficulties and sorrows keep me under Thy fortified stronghold;
وَ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
send blessings on Muhammad and on the children of Muhammad,
وَاجْعَلْ تَوَسُّلى بِهِ شافِعاً يَوْمَ الْقِيمَةِ نافِعاً
and let my alliance with them be a means of recommendation on the Day of Judgement,
اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ اَرْحَمُ الرّاحِمينَ
because verily Thou art the the Most Merciful.
