3D Film of Masjid Al-Qiblatain (Madinah)
Located in the holy city of Madina, Masjid al-Qiblatain at Saudi Arabia in Asia is visited by devout followers of Islam from all parts of the world. An embodiment of the ancient Culture of Saudi Arabia, the mosque ranks among the most important Tourist Attractions of Saudi Arabia.
The history behind the naming of Masjid al-Qiblatain in Saudi Arabia is an interesting one. The name of Prophet Mohammad is associated with this famous mosque in Madina. It is said that, the prophet received divine instructions that the direction of prayer, known as qibla in Islam, should be changed from Jerusalem to Mecca. Thus this mosque is forever associated with a defining moment in Islam. From this time onward, it became the custom for all followers of Islam to face in the direction of Mecca during their prayers. The mosque has became known as the mosque of Two Qiblas, or Masjid al-Qiblatain, as it has uniquely incorporated a prayer section in the direction of Mecca as well as one in the direction of Jerusalem.
